European Union (1997)

This biannual review describes the trade policies, policy-making institutions and practices, and the macroeconomic situation of the European Union.

It offers a comprehensive survey of developments in trade policy and in the ecnomy of the European Union. This edition focuses on significant developments in major areas such as trade policies, and on selected sectoral issues.

It deals with five main themes: the interface between the Single Market and multilateral liberalization; the EU's enlargement, and network of regional and preferentail agreements; systematic trade policy issues; sectoral questions; and the EU and the future of the multilateral system.
