The Amazing Adventures of Clarence the Chimpanzee : From the tropical rainforest to global celebrity

Clarence, a chimpanzee, is kidnapped and taken from the rainforest in Africa to England, where his captors plan to sell him to a zoo.

He manages to escape and evade recapture with the help of four tailors who make him a unique set of clothes based on his own design.

There follows a series of incidents that lead to his sensational appearance on a morning television show.

Every day is an adventure to Clarence. Despite his good intentions to be serious, practically all his adventures feature humorous misunderstandings or problems. He travels to China for a two-week stint on a morning television show, and his adventures continue unabated.

He wreaks havoc-in a lovable, warm-hearted way-wherever he goes and with whatever he does.

But the more mayhem he brings into the lives of those who interact with him, the more popular he becomes.
