I dont know if you know this, but ants are everywhere!

Outside, inside, at picnics, even at nuclear test sites where all other life is notants.

They can even build tall towers to overcome obstacles.

One day, when we are long gone, they will inherit the earth.

We had better get used to it. The ubiquitous nature of ants has even bled into our language.

Just think about the words that have ant somewhere in them.

The numbers are staggering, and once you start noticing them, you will spiral into a very strange place indeed. I live on Ant Hill Road. No surprise where it got its nameants everywhere! Red, black, brownyou name it, theyre here. My road is a dirt road, and in an effort to slow traffic and alleviate dust, I started putting up ant signs.

It was a contest to see if my neighbors could guess what ant words I was depicting in my pictures.

Sadly, it didnt slow them near as much as the tractor trailer of a one-and-a-half-inch rock, but it did get me started on my book.

I hope you like it. Ive included some hints to help you along. Enjoy! Or antjoy, derived from antjoyment, of course!
