Kings and Queens of England presents the story of every monarch to have ruled the country from King Egbert in the early ninth century to our reigning monarch, King Charles III. This essential guide contains mini-biographies of each sovereign alongside key dates and achievements during the reign.

Our regal journey takes you through all the royal houses - Norman, Angevin, Plantagenet, Lancaster, York, Tudor, Stuart, Orange, Hanover, Saxe-Coburg and Windsor - and comes right up to date with the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in May 2023.
