Listening is a core skill within the English curriculum and the main medium for classroom learning, but it is difficult to assess objectively.

The "Listening and Literacy Index" is a standardized test of listening, reading and spelling for use with class groups of six- to nine-year-olds.

It provides a diagnostic profile and norms, as well as detailed practical guidelines for scoring, interpretation and teaching follow-up.

Parallel test forms A and B are designed to be used simultaneously, to minimise copying by pupils.

This pack comprises ten copies of Form A and ten copies of Form B.
