Edward Ardizzone

Edward Ardizzone is one of the best-loved illustrators of the 20th century, with books like the 'Little Tim' series amongst the abiding classics of English literature.

This book accompanies a centenary exhibition which includes examples of the artist's work as an official war artist in France, North Africa, Sicily and Italy; a range of pen and watercolour sketches; illustrated letters and pages from sketchbooks.

Much of the work -- particularly the sketchbook pages -- is previously unpublished.
