Skip's wife and childhood sweetheart, Veronica Browning Walker, likely the highest compensated labor arbitration is an integral character, her son and wards being student-athletes subject to the NCAA's draconian rules when it comes to players sharing in the economic largesse provided to college athletics by the advent of TV, cable advertising money and revenue from sneaker and jersey sales.
