Good Practices,Gender Mainstreaming in Actions Against Child Labour

The 2001 IPEC Gender Mainstreaming workshop identified several areas needing more attention from IPEC and its partners.

One of these priorities was the identification of good practices in gender mainstreaming during child labour interventions, policy, advocacy and research.

This report assesses recent initiatives regarding mainstreaming a gender perspective in the battle against child labour.

The report embraces issues as varied as trafficking, HIV/AIDS, football, domestic workers, commercial sexual exploitation, statistics, labour force surveys, research methodologies, targeted action programmes, non-formal education, stakeholder consultations and ILO/IPEC institutional procedures.
