DYMEX allows rapid model construction and needs no computer programming allowing population ecologists to easily construct models.

The model created can be used for real-time decision support or to explore the impact of a wide range of conditions, including various control strategies.

DYMEX has applications in population ecology, integrated pest management, modelling workshops and tertiary education.
