This course, aimed at all library managers who currently manage a budget, or who will manage a budget, is designed as a modular one-day programme, with the flexibility to either deliver it complete, or as 11 separate sessions ranging from 30 minutes to one hour.

The course contents include: introduction and objectives; the benefits of managing budgets; understanding the role of budgets; general characteristics of a useful budget; a case study; how to read a budgetry control report; budget terminology; budgetry report checklist; arguing your case; action planning; and review and evaluation.

An A4 ringbinder is accompanied by full trainer support materials includung OHP originals and a delegate handout pack.
