Navies and Armies : Anglo-Dutch Relationship in War and Peace, 1688-1988

These essays concentrate broadly on three areas: the first 100 years of the Anglo-Dutch alliance; the period after the wars of 1780-1784 when the bonds between Britain and the Netherlands were reconstructed; and finally, the involvement of the two countries in the Far East during the 20th century.
