If artist Jed Martin, the main character of this novel, was to tell you its story, he would perhaps begin by telling you that for his new exhibition he has secured the involvement of the great author Michel Houllebecq who has agreed to write the text for the exhibition guide in return for which he will have his portrait painted by Jed.
