Match of My Life - Sunderland : Twelve Stars Relive Their Favourite Games

Twelve Sunderland legends have come together to tell the unique stories behind their personal favourite games from their Potters careers, including many never before told tales from behind the scenes and photos from each match.

The featured players include: Kevin Ball; Jimmy Montgomery; Charlie Hurley; Marco Gabbiadini; Gary Rowell; Shaun Elliott; Gary Bennett; Bobby Gurney; Stan Anderson; Nick Sharkey; Len Ashurst; and Craig Russell.

The games they have selected include the 1973 FA Cup Final, promotion winning matches, feats of scoring prowess and a victory over Newcastle at St, James' Park.

The book also includes one interview from beyond the grave as Sunderland legend Bobby Gurney, who died in 1994, gave his last interview to the editor shortly beforehand and it has never before been published.
