See all formats and editions

This work of love, written over the last ten years, tells the extraordinary story of several American La Salette Missionaries who have selflessly shared their gifts of reconciliation with the people of Madagascar during 1921-2021. The unique personalities and lasting accomplishments of thirty-seven missionaries show most powerfully how God does great things through their different gifts rooted in and flowing from the Holy Spirit evidenced in the life and works of these heroic priests and brothers from North America.

These personal memoirs are written by two La Salette Missionaries - Bishop Donald Pelletier and Fr. Jack Nuelle. They tell the story of the faithful and creative ministry of each of these men of faith, capturing for our benefit a panoply of gifts, all building up the people of God. This is no mere history; this is truly a lasting attestation of how the gifts of the Holy Spirit "will renew the face of the earth" (Psalm 104:30).

We invite you to enjoy these true stories of remarkably dedicated Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette whose example - in the words of Philibert de Bruillard, Bishop of Grenoble, France in 1852 - will remain "an eternal monument, a perpetual remembrance of Mary's merciful apparition" at La Salette on Saturday, September 19, 1846. Read, reflect, and enjoy their remarkable and inspiring testimonies of how good God has been to us over the last century and, in the words of St. Paul, how "all things work for good for those who love God" (Romans 8:28).
