"I started making drawings of this kind around 1996 while talking on the telephone.

I remember similar ondulating forms on paper which my mother used to draw.

Actually, they only came to my mind lately. What these drawings are about? No place, no time, no content, no interpretation, no disclosing of something hidden, actually, there is not even a real intention involved in the production of these drawings" (Chris Bunter).

The special edition - ten parts torn out of a larger drawing - is a pars pro toto, a fragment, as it were.

Bunter's work is not only a self-oblivious production, but also a representation of absence of some sorts, bordering on emptiness.
