This publication includes a new series of work that originates from observations of the rocky shore of Mounts Bay at Newlyn, or more specifically, the edge of the ancient Gwavas Lake, once separated from the sea, but now continuous with English Channel and the Atlantic.

The book includes an essay which places Porter's work in the context of the wider British lansdcape tradition.
