Created to celebrate the internationally renowned Juilliard School's 100th anniversary, this volume offers an unprecedented look at the school's historical stringed instrument collection. "A Living Legacy" features comprehensive photographic and narrative accounts of 25 instruments of particular historic interest by such illustrious makers as Amati, Bergonzi, Guadagnini, Guarneri, and Stradivari, as well as reproductions of historic documents and an annotated list of other instruments and bows.
