Working Safely with Research Animals : Management of Infection Risks

Since the ACDP first published guidance on animal contaminent, COSHH regulations have been amended.

This has resulted in many of the basic contaminent measures for animal rooms being translated for guidance into law.

This book amplifies the principles expressed in COSHH and enlarges on the recommendations.

Its main focus is work with experimentally infected animals in laboratory settings.

Although the guidance is aimed primarily at protecting human health, full account is taken of animal welfare issues.
