Development of a Software Model for Missile Impact Damage

Failures of pipework or vessels can be initiated in a number of ways, all of which need to be taken into account when undertaking a risk assessment.

This report considers the impact of flying debris. The various current methods for addressing this problem have been reviewed and a selection of appropriate formulae have been incorporated into the Missile Impact Model (MIM) software.
