In this large-format pictorial, the artist Roman Bönsch pays homage to Viennas former Southern Train Station (Südbahnhof) and documents its demolition. While the 4th Southern Train Station or now, to use its official nomenclature, the Vienna Main Train Station is already under construction, the station erected by the architect and ÖBB planner Heinrich Hrdlicka in cooperation with Rudolf Maculan and Kurt Walder from 1955 to 1961 remains an important part of the citys inner landscape, and is still present in the minds of all polyglot visitors from the south and east.
