When the German army overran Holland, Diet, a young Dutch woman, with her fiance Hein Sietsma, risked everything to rescue imperilled Jews.

Together they set up safe locations, evaded patrols and house to house searches, misled the Gestapo, smuggled funds, established escape routes and dealt with frightened or difficult "customers" desperate for news of their families.

During the years that Diet and Hein aided the Resistance, with initiatives of outstanding courage and imagination, their bold efforts saved the lives of hundreds of Dutch Jews.

Through it all shone their faith in Christ and their love for each other.
