Like many teenagers, Exantra is 13 years old, bored and always getting into trouble.

None of which is particularly extraordinary in itself - but Exantra is a witch!

When, Exantra gets her hands on a "Forbidden Book of Spells", she unleashes a terrible hex that plunges her world into an eternal, icy darkness.

The only way for Exantra to put things right is to travel to the terrifying southern lands to retrieve the vital ingredients needed for the reversal spell.

In her quest to restore life and light to her homeland, Exantra encounters murderous goblins, an evil warlock, lethal quicksand, deadly spiders, seemingly endless tunnels, as well as the vile and poisonous Monscaterus.

In this magical tale, our teenage heroine has to rely on her own courage (as well as her magical skills) to save herself and her world.
