Cue in to cloze 1 - Bk. 1

Cloze technique ("fill the gap") is a straightforward and popular means of practising and assesing language comprehension skills, requiring pupils to use the full range of semantic, syntactic and contextual cues to get meaning from text.

This text is a photocopiable resource of 60 carefully graded cloze texts giving a controlled "match" of content interest with reading ages appropriate to less able pupils in secondary schools.

It matches a ten to 13 interest range with a nine to 12 reading age.
