This thesis focuses on the application of optical magnetometry to magnetic resonance experiments.

After an introduction of the basics of magnetic resonance and optical magnetometry it discusses imaging and spectroscopic applications.

Two magnetomers are described; one was constructed in the Pines lab and uses frequency modulated non-linear magneto-optics, while the other was constructed in the Budker lab and is based on a spin-exchange relaxation free technique.

An Earth's field MRI device was used in the first two experiments discussed.

This device imaged the flow of water through a porous steel sample and through a T-shaped mixer.

The third experiment discussed is a one-dimensional imaging technique.

The final experiment discussed uses the Budker lab magnetometer to determine J-coupling values at zero field.
