Hummocks: journeys and inquiries among the Canadian Inuit

Jean Malaurie's expeditions to the North spanned half a century, with voyages to Greenland, the Arctic, Alaska and Siberia. 'Hummocks' focuses on northern Quebec in the 1950s and 1960s, when it was still relatively isolated and the Inuit way of life was at a crossroads.
