Architecture rupestre et decor sculpte en Cappadoce (Ve-IXe siecle)

A detailed study of the architecture and carved decroation of the cave churches of earlier Byzantine Cappadocia.

The volume contains descriptions, plans and an extensive photographic record of these monuments, alongside an analysis, typology and chronology of their architectural and decorative features.

Conclusions also look at their landscape setting, and their function in the religious life of Byzantine Cappadocia.
