Taxonomic catalogues are indispensable volumes for taxonomists and many biodiversity researchers.

These compendia allow researchers to access accurate compilations of the literature and of valid named taxa that are currently recognised.

This landmark catalogue treats in detail six arachnid orders found throughout the world, providing full bibliographic data on all taxa named thus far.

Information provided for each species includes the type locality and a summary (by country) of its known distribution.

The catalogue also covers the named fossil fauna. To date, three other arachnid orders have been completely catalogued (pseudoscorpions, scorpions and spiders).

This volume will complement these other published catalogues and will contribute greatly towards documenting the total biodiversity of much of the arachnid fauna of the world.
