See all formats and editions

Sammy Baker, with the aid of his magic typewriter, is taken on another fantastical journey back in time. He is transported to 1960 and finds himself sitting in the Red Sox dugout next to the great Ted Williams, reputed to be the best hitter of all time. As he did before Sammy's last trip, he gave him a mission: get an interview with "Teddy Ballgame," something he'd never accomplished as a sportswriter for a New Hampshire newspaper. Sammy wonders how he will ever do that. He is only twelve years old!
