The Quest for the Golden Chalice

This is a thrilling and magical fantasy tale for 9-13 year olds.

When Adam meets Belle and then Candice, they embark on an adventure that sees them travelling to unknown territory: Adam to find the Golden Chalice of St Anthony, Belle to find her missing brother Damon, and the mysterious Candice to lead the way.

Along the way they encounter an array of magical creatures, some fascinating, others nothing less than frightening: Uno the dwarf guide who watches over them; luminous glow-worms that they use as lamps; Red Skull spiders; a fierce dragon, huge birds of prey and robot warriors.

Eventually they reach Castle Grimaldi, where the children confront first the evil Black Baron of Xakkara, and then the terrifying Guardian.

Gripping from start to finish, "The Quest for the Golden Chalice" is old-fashioned storytelling at its best: a genuinely thrilling fantasy tale that harks back to Narnia yet has its own uniquely dark flavour.
