"Do not just take what you need from the land.

Think of what you can give back to the land too."

Rain stops pouring on Kim's village. Trees become bare, and have no fruits to spare. Kim and her friend Teddy enter the forest to look for food. Their short trip turns into an adventure as they stumble upon Dragon LONG, the mountain keeper. The story is inspired by the author's fascination in Chinese dragons (é¾™, Long or Loong). They are believed to bring good luck, strength and protection.

This book helps develop children's knowledge and awareness about forest sustainability. Further discussions that parents/teachers can have with children are:

*        What are some examples of edible plants in a forest?

*        How do trees help in bringing rain?

*        What plants and trees are in a rainforest?

*        How long does it take for a tree to grow?

*        How do humans cause landslides?
