Two unlikely friends, Whodilly (an owl) and Wiggilly (a caterpillar) strike up a strong friendship. They race each other and tease each other until one disappears--only to emerge later into a beautiful butterfly.  Children love this book.  Author Linad Mason, an accomplished storyteller and musician, weaves a magical story around the caterpillar and owl and their rivalry in racing. Their friendship is strong, and the owl is sad when his friend disappears.  When he discovers his friend emerges from a cocoon transformed, he feels much joy.  True friendship does not go away when a friend changes.  Now their friendship is even stronger.

the stories, the music, and tte activities are all fun and educational.  children can have hours of fun with this beautiful story.  Remember to go to the website to hear the music and act it out.

Very recommended by twins Jovan and Francis, our beta readers and primary audience for first to third grade stories.  They are joined by the many children Mason has taught successfully and who love her stories. Also recommended by Dr. Mary Custureri, Reading and Curriculum and Learning Strategies Specialist.

This is the first book in the series of T and S Storybook House books of JayMitchell productios.
