Aston Villa - a Perfect 10

In sporting terms, a Perfect 10 simply cannot be bettered.

When stars get this coveted maximum score, it means they are simply in a class of their own.

Now, some of Britain's leading football journalists have adapted the phrase to pick up on a fascinating publishing challenge.

They were asked to select a top club and name their "Perfect 10" list of players, using the timescale of the trail-blazing 1960's right up to the modern world of mega million fees and global transfers.

There were no positional restrictions. Each prestigious list could contain ten centre-forwards, or just as easily have six wingers and four goalkeepers.

In the case of Villa, author Rob Bishop chose to concentrate on the Premier League Years, post 1993.
