Mick Rock began his photography career by sneaking his camera into rock shows and taking pictures of the bands he liked.

His career took off when he began taking pictures of a practically unknown David Bowie in 1972, and together they went on to document the rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust in photos, posters, early videos, and more.

From there Mick went on to photograph a who's-who of rock, punk, and pop in a career unparalleled in music photography, capturing and defining the images of key artists and stars as they were becoming part of the pop firmament, including Lou Reed, Syd Barrett, Blondie, Queen, Iggy Pop, the Sex Pistols, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Killers, Lady Gaga, U2, and many more.

Exposures is the definitive collection of Mick's best images, spanning his entire career.

The photos published luxuriously large, in full bleed.

Captions at the back by Mick describe the moment and circumstances of the photo shoots and include personal recollections of the subjects.

An introduction by Mick reflects on his amazing career. A foreword by playwright Tom Stoppard speaks to the impact and influence of Micks photographs as they describe the experience of being passionate about music.
