Agriculture and environment in EU-15 : the IRENA indicator report

The purpose of this IRENA (Indicator Reporting on the Integration of Environmental Concerns into Agricultural Policy) report is to set out agri-environmental indicators for monitoring the integration of environmental concerns into the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the EU-15.

Topics covered include: trends in relation to cropping and livestock patterns, intensity of farming, specialisation and diversification, marginalisation and land use change, and organic farming.

It also considers issues of agricultural water use and the state of water quality; agricultural land use, farm management practices and soils; climate change and air quality; biodiversity and landscape; and methodological issues.
