From the Education Services Advisory Committee, this publication provides guidance on health and safety in the biotechnology processes used in higher education.

Areas include risk assessment, risk control, controlling hazardous substances, waste disposal, use of radioactive materials, health surveillance, management systems and health and safety law.

It does not deal with the development and use of transgenic animals.
