In 1992, the Polish American Historical Association celebrated 50 years as one of the world's leading organizations dedicated to the study of Polish immigration in the Americas.

Published twice each year since 1944, the organization's Polish American Studies includes articles, reviews, and other scholarly material, in all of the humanities and social sciences, related to the history of Poles in the Western hemisphere.

The first 50 volumes are now indexed, providing what should be a convenient tool for scholars of the ethnic experience in the Americas.
