For the first time, Zolo, the construction toy, is now a book!

Zolo A-B-Z: An Alphabet Book is a fun and wacky way to learn one's A-B-Cs.

Bright and colorful, silly and whimsical, the Zolo shapes create many fun, slightly abstract characters, from birds and fish to dogs and people.

Houses, trees, and cars take on a whole new look with Zolo, too.

Throughout the book, the character Ozlo -- a pink and green dog with silly looking ears and tail -- interacts with other characters and objects that begin with each letter of the alphabet. (For instance, B is for black, bat, balloon etc. and also for "bold", "brave" and "BOO!".) Launched in 1986 by Higashi Glaser Design, Zolo - a groundbreaking toy that established a new, free-form, gender-neutral construction format - has been a popular product for upmarket stores, such as MoMA bookshops and F.A.O.

Schwartz. Think "abstract Mr. Potato Head." The book will be packaged with die-cut pieces printed on cardstock so children can create their own Zolo characters just like in the book (and the toy!).
