It's the summer of 1684 (six months after the Frost Fair took place) and Thomasina and Anne are running their own sweet shop under the watchful guise of Mrs Maplethorpe.

But when they friend, Henry, goes missing, they find themselves sucked into another magical adventure - of the underwater kind.

Deep underneath London, below the River Thames, shipwrecks, merpeople and sirens are aplenty and have lived happily amongst each other in the free waters.

But the Sea Queen (who lives at the mouth of the River Thames) wants to expand her territory into theirs and is using an evil kind of magic to trap them.

Thomasina and Anne begin to doubt that they really did defeat the magic of Father Winter as the Sea Queen's magic is so similar.
