This is the life story of the university of Minnesota head basketball coach.

It traces Haskins' life form his humble beginnings in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to his brilliant performance in leading Minnesota to the NCAA Final Four and the 1997 Big Ten Conference basketball crown.

Haskins reveals never-before-heard stories about his playing days as an All-American and as head coach at Western Kentucky University, and his nine seasons in the National Basketball Association.

Haskins discusses in detail his hiring as the first black head coach at the U of M, his greatest teams and players, and the Golden Gophers' fantastic championship run in 1996-97.

He also reviews his experiences with America's 'Dream Team' at the 996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
