This material was originally published in a series of six small titles, five of which are included in this book - "Colours", "All Shapes and Sizes", "Noisy", "Bathwater's Hot" and "When We Went to the Park". Shirley Hughes has won the Kate Greenaway Medal for "Dogger" and the Eleanor Farjeon Award for her services to children's literature.
