Cystic fibrosis (CF), also known as munoviscidosis, is a chronic genetic disease involving the dysfunction of the exocrine glands.

This dysfunction is manifested as a deficiency in pancreatic enzymes, accumulation of mucous in airways, and excess salt in sweat.
