Jim Henson created some of the most memorable characters and programmes.

This book surveys Henson's delightful sketches beginning from when he was in high school through well into his professional career.

Some of these drawings were the most cursory of doodles, intended for Henson's own amusement and working out of ideas; others reveal a more accomplished hand.

Above all they cover a wide range of work (sketchbooks, posters, album covers, story boards and set and puppet designs) largely in nascent form.
