The Arnold Anthology of Post-Colonial Literatures in English

This is an anthology of primary texts in the field of post-colonial theory, informed by contemporary thinking about the subject, and offers a wide-ranging introduction to anglophone post-colonial writings.

The texts are considered "primary" in the sense that they are written by "creative writers".

The editors have endeavoured to strike a balance between acknowledged "classic" texts, and works that represent characteristic aspects of post-colonial literature.

The book consists of a considerable body of work by major post-colonial writers, and also acts as a source book of central post-colonial themes and theories.
