Lumiere

Mid-18th Century, England. Scarlet is a graceful young woman with her whole life ahead of her.

However, as time goes by, her life becomes unruly entwined with the lives and deeds of people around her who represent a kaleidoscope of distinctive characters: a corrupt sheriff, a determined doctor, an intriguing bandit and an assortment of resolute but vulnerable women.

In Lumiere, Fiona Hunt embarks us on a journey which starts in countryside England, where the daily lives of disparate social classes intertwines amidst a background of love, passion and friendship, as well as brutality, greed, corruption and deceit.
