Not only is grammar knowledge useful for English learners, but it is also fundamental for English speakers, especially when they hold high positions in their workplaces.

A CEO whose speaking and writing are full of grammatical errors is a mere object of ridicule to his/her coworkers.

Some of the most common mistakes made constantly by English speakers are punctuation marks, conditionals, and unreal situations.

Punctuation marks, especially, are used incorrectly also by many professional writers who are native English speakers, but hardly anybody recognizes the mistakes.With 20 years of teaching experience both as a teacher in private schools of language and as a freelancer, I have come to realize that English, like all things in the universe, is a system; when you have learned one thing, you can also understand something else.

Another fundamental thing in English that many textbooks fail to emphasize is that English cannot be learned through forms but contexts or contextualization.

The explanations in the book, for the most part, are based on logic and common sense although I must admit that it is impossible for me to provide you with all logical explanations.

Try as I might, there are some rules of English grammar that I can see neither logic nor common sense.

Where logic fails me, I will use a mnemonic device.
