Two girls recline in their backyard as a dull COVID day rolled by.

Aurora and Alice were the Speakers - the ones who could talk with the animal kingdom.

Little did they know their who world was under threat from the Grey.

Join them in a journey through time as they meet the Nine Valiant women who will teach them the virtues to turn back hopeless and despair!- Right then a burst of noise erupted under the porch.

Scratching, clawing, yelping, yowling, howling, woofing, barking, meowing, hooting, and all sorts of animal ruckus the likes of which had never been heard in the backyard before.

The girls sat up from the hammock while Hank jumped off the deck to scout underneath."Friends!" he barked. "Friends, friends, friends!"An unusual gang of misfit animals shot forth in a gang from the darkness under the porch.

First was a little chihuahua chasing a tennis ball, followed closely behind by a couple of sleek black plot hounds.

Several cats followed of various breeds. A few miniature pinchers barked loudly from the back.

A black mutt with a bit of an underbite and a happy disposition was totally distracted by some remnants of food on the stairs to the porch.

Tufts of fur flew into the air. Hank chased the whole lot. An old fat tabby waddled out late. One cat stayed under the porch, her glassy eyes just barely visible in the darkness.

This misfit gang constituted the pets past and present from their entire extended family, pets with whom Aurora and Alice had enjoyed various adventures through the years.

Some of them had not been in this world in quite some time."Aurora!

Alice!" Emma the chihuahua yipped as she jumped onto Aurora's chest.

She was the girls' Aunt and Uncle's dog. Rocco the greyhound/min-pin mix, their Grandma's dog, jumped up next. "Girls" he hollered. Soon the pets surrounded the girls and shouted such that the girls could not pick out a single word."Ahem," a lone black cat said from the woodpile near the hammock.

She was tubby and old but spoke with a refined accent. "Hello there, Bella!" Aurora said. She pushed her way through the other animals to pet Bella, who had always been her favorite.

Bella had just moved to an older person's house because Hanks young-dog mannerisms were too much for her to take.Bella spoke but Aurora could not hear her above the fray."Shush!" Aurora said to the other animals.

They all fell silent except for Hardley, the oldest min-pin there.

He was so deaf and blind that nothing would stop his shouts until Alice reached down to scratch his head.

When the yard was finally silent, Bella spoke in a small but regal voice."The entire animal kingdom is under dire threat.

Once again, we need you to rise to the challenge, dear girls.

We need you to help us.""Help us!" strange little voices shouted from the trees above.

Aurora saw lines of squirrels gathered. Birds chirped. A fox yowled in the distance. The dark clouds thickened overhead. A chill ran down Alice's back."What happened?" Aurora asked."Evil approaches," Luke rumbled.

He was the older of the plot hounds who had lived with Uncle Travis and Aunt Robin until he went to Dog Land forever just last year."Evil!" Hank gasped."Wicked baddies!" Emma whinnied. "An evil we have not seen since my parents were mere kittens in the litter.

Dark days," the orange tabby grumbled.
