The Author survived being diagnosed with cancer and wants to share how she coped during this traumatic time.

Before she retired she was a Library Assistant, and using her expertise in choosing books, has filled her book with quotations from a wide range of publications that sustained her at that time.

She wants to reach out to others, who might be as scared of hospitals and their operations as she was. She assures others that it is not so bad as feared and it is important to get early diagnosis and treatment.

After the successful operation Christine describes how it taught her to live life to the full.
