It builds on - and revises - the work of Donaldson in the early 1970s.

It's an important addition to Gulf philately. An early version of this book was awarded Bronze at the British Chester National Stamp Show 2003 and this version earned a Silver Bronze at the 8th New Zealand Philatelic Literature Exhibition in 2003.
