The Scottish colourists, 1900-1930 : F.C.B. Cadell, J.D. Fergusson, G.L. Hunter, S.J. Peploe

The Scottish Colourists, Cadell, Fergusson, Hunter and Peploe, are now amongst the most admired of early twentieth-century artists.

Since their death they have often been overlooked in histories of British art, but in the last twenty years there has been a revival of interest in their work.

Publication is timed to coincide with the high profile exhibition, The Scottish Colourists, taking place at the Royal Academy of Art in London, 30th June 2000 - 24th Sept 2000 and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh, from 4th Nov 2000 - 28th Jan 2001.
