This volume brings together three of Miller's most recent stage plays.

He explores the effects of the Great Depression on every class of American society in - "The American Clock", and the erosion of personal integrity by the growth of state-power and the threat of surveillance , both in the east and the west in "The Archbishop's Ceiling".The volume also includes a revised version of "Two-Way Mirror", a double-bill for a man and a woman.

Considered to be America's most celebrated playwright Arthur Miller has also written novels and non- fiction.

His work includes "The Crucible", "Death of a Salesman", "A View from the Bridge" and an autobiography "Time Bends".
